The systemic absorption of topical corticosteroids can produce reversible hypothalamic- pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis suppression. The systemic absorption of Mometasone can cause Cushing\u2019s syndrome, hyperglycemia, and glucosuria. Mometasone should not be administered to nursing mothers and pregnant women. If it is an absolute must to take Elocon during pregnancy, it should be administered under the supervision of a medical practitioner.
