Guidelines before using Cabergoline /Dostinex

Dostinex can cause orthostatic hypotension. Dostinex should be administered with caution in patients receiving medications that can cause hypotension. The recommended starting dosage of Dostinex is 0.25mg twice a week. The dosage is increased by 0.25 mg twice weekly up to a dosage of 1 mg twice a week according to the patient’s serum prolactin level.
